A Little About Me
Shelby M Rocca is a queer writer and artist who prefers to create photography and short stories based on her personal experiences and struggles specifically with sobriety and societal standards imposed on women.
She is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, where she received a Bachelor of Art. While pursuing her degree, she published prose, poetry, photography, and screen printing in a number of magazines and newsletters such as Crewes Coven Newsletter and 1966: A Journal of Creative Nonfiction. After graduation, she has participated in multiple solo and group gallery shows throughout the U.S. including Red Dot Presents: Embrace the Period, Rubio Gallery South Introduces: Stigma Recent Photographic Works from Shelby M Rocca, and Visible Light: Trinity Alumni Photography.
Through different professional positions, she has written press releases, grant applications, repository guides, and print and digital copy for websites and advertising campaigns. As a professional photographer and designer, she has done everything from newborn, boudoir, and portrait photographer to product and event photography and designed social media banners/posts, print materials, and logos.
Almost everything on this site is for sale and I do take commissions.
